A fine Georgian period mahogany Gentleman’s Press circa 1775
Description
The swan-neck pediment with vertical satinwood inlaid decoration copying an Adam design and dentil moulding above two oval panelled kingwood cross-banded doors with inlaid corner decoration enclose original oak adjustable trays. The lower section of two short and two long cross-banded drawers retain original handles and ‘S’ design escutcheons, raised on shaped bracket feet.
