A fine Hepplewhite period mahogany breakfront or wing bookcase, in the manner of Gillows circa 1790

 

Description

The rectangular cornice with unusual wheat-sheaf carved pediment above four doors with oval glazing bars. The lower section comprises two short and one long drawer each with satinwood oval inlays and original brass gilt ring handles over four figured panelled doors with moulded edge and satinwood inlay enclosing drawers and adjustable shelves on a moulded plinth base
