Each with shaped padded over back, armrests and seat, the moulded down-curved arms with carved scrolls on moulded tapered legs with H-shaped stretchers.
With pencil signature on frame Robert Scott. Robert Scott, Edinburgh, subscribed to Chippendale’s Director in 1754.
Provenance: Sir William O. Hutchinson, the well known Scottish portrait painter and former President of Royal Scottish Academy.
